GTR1400
The new GTR1400 combine breathtaking engine performance, impeccable handling and a comfortable riding position with clean, convenient shaft drive, locking hard luggage, an electrically adjustable windscreen and a host of other features to create the most impressive long-distance, high-speed machine on the market today. An aluminum monocoque chassis, radial-mount brake calipers, inverted fork, and ram air induction are all features riders expect to find on top-of-the-line supersport machines. However, instead of riding a high-strung racetrack missile, they can enjoy these high-performance features on Kawasaki’s new GTR1400 sport touring motorcycles. They are the first representatives of an entirely new genre of high-performance motorcycle: the Transcontinental Supersport. |

NINJA
ZX-6R
One of the goals for the 2009 ZX-6R was to give the new bike lighter handling. The superb combination of mid-corner stability and ability to change lines on command was maintained from the previous model, but frame rigidity was revised and mass further centralised to make the new ZX-6R even easier to tip into corners. Engine development focused as much on controllability as performance gain. Throttle response is silky smooth, delivering precise control at all rpm. While the high-rpm performance of the previous model is maintained, powerful mid-range torque means stronger drive out of corners. Showa’s Big Piston Fork (BPF) is used for the first time on a Kawasaki. The new BPF is one of the main contributing factors to the great composure under braking. Compared to a cartridge type fork of the same size, the BPF features a piston that is almost twice as big. |
